Heartland District Conference 2011 Wrap-Up

The Heartland District’s 2011 District Conference was held on Saturday, January 22 at Edmore Faith UMC. We were happily overwhelmed with the number of people who attended! There were 143 people signed in from 50 Heartland District congregations!

We were blessed to have the Albion District’s DS Tamara Williams lead our business meeting since David Hills was not able to be with us. Our special offering of $731.66 was collected for the Children’s Orphanage on Delmas 54 in Haiti. Special thanks go out to Larry Wyman, Pr. Susan Poynter, Pr. Dale Golden, and Pr. Jon VanDop, John Rau, Rev. Dr. Jana Lynn Almeida, and Rev. Dean Prentiss.for their leadership in worship as well as our small groups.

Proposed District Apportionments were doubled for Harrison: The Gathering and Wesley@CMU. More details on this vote can be found in the minutes. Click below for more information on both programs.
