Gene Becker, Ithaca UMC, passed into
eternity today (Wednesday, February 24, 2010). Gene has been a friend to
our district, confidant of District Superintendents and member of the
District Committee on Ministry for many years. Please keep Gene’s family
in your prayers during these days and remember to offer thanks to God
for Gene’s life and ministry.
Jim Holman, husband of Carole, is in Huston, Texas for a medical trial
procedure. Please keep him, the physicians and Jim’s family in your
prayers over the next three or four months as they seek a “cure” for his
myeliodysplasia. Carole says that the doctors give them a 50% chance for
a cure – something they have never heard before!
